Criminal Law

Given my civil law practice, some find it curious that I also practice criminal law. However, many of the trial procedures (picking a jury, etc.) and legal concepts are similar. The difference is that the accused has rights against the power of the government, and I have defended Measure 11 cases, DUII, Assault, and other related misdemeanors.

Sometimes these cases stem from family law cases/issues, or from loss of a loved one, which present cross over issues between these areas of law. Regardless, I approach criminal cases with the same thoroughness and prepare the defense accordingly.

The government has a high duty and must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, and I take this very seriously because it’s your liberty at stake.
